November 17, 2011 It Didn't End On Election Day A letter from John Nonna Dear Friend, I don’t want another day to go by without updating you on how our race for the Westchester County Legislature is going. The news is not good. I am 173 votes down out of a total of over 10,000 cast on November 8th and my re-election to the Westchester County Legislature will be decided by counting the remaining absentee and special ballots. Turnout in this race was among the highest turnouts in the County and for that I must thank the hundreds of volunteers, financial contributors and supporters who so generously gave their time and financial resources to this race. As I shared with you in our emails and
conversations my re-election campaign became a knock out drag out battle
pitting us against a well financed smear campaign; viscous in nature and
filled with inaccuracies and lies. All of this was orchestrated by the
County Executive, Robert Astorino who made me a target. I will let you know as soon as the final results are known. Sincerely John Nonna
