The present makeup of the Board of Legislators (BOL) does NOT change until January 1st, 2012. Therefore the present BOL will be voting to adopt a 2012 budget and not the newly elected BOL since the PRESENT BOL has to create a 2012 budget by law before 2011 is over.

Also, the 2012 Budget is now out of the hands of the County Executive Astorino controlled Budget Office and the County Executive Astorino controlled Commissioners and in the hands of the Board of Legislators

So the importance of voting for labor friendly Legislators ( "DID YOU ALL VOTE AND DID YOU ALL CALL AND BRING YOUR FAMILY ??" ) is again shown to be very important.

Will you channel your energy into attending the 3 Public Hearings below, and by writing directly to the Legislators now to save vital programs and your jobs, or will you do nothing??

Attacking the Union officers who are trying to help all 3,300 members is not the way to go.

You should not believe everything that the Administration is saying.

The 3 Public Hearings are:

The Southern Westchester County Regional Public Hearing on the 2012 Budget will take place on Tuesday, November 22nd at New Rochelle High School, 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle at 7 PM.

The Northern Westchester County Regional Public Hearing on the budget will take place on Wednesday, November 30th at Somers High School, 120 Primrose Street, Lincolndale at 7 PM.

On Tuesday, December 6th, the third and final Regional Public Hearing on the 2012 Budget will take place in the Board of Legislator's Chambers on the 8th Floor of the Michaelian Office Building, 148 Martine Ave, in White Plains at 7PM.
