As I write this, the Sick Bank Committee is in the process of completing the last 2 years (2008 & 2009) of contributions input with the assistance and cooperation of County Human Resources into the designated forms the County requires. 2007 has been input and audited by the County and resulted in a base number of 1,739 days. The Sick Bank Committee has received full release from their work duties this week to accomplish the input.

We have restored the Sick Bank on this basis, but must complete the input of 2008 and 2009 before any days can be approved for members’ use. We expect the input to be completed by the end of this week and the formal approval to start next week retroactively to 12/1/08 as agreed by both the County and Union.

We also have some new rules and regulations concerning the future administration of the Bank that will be posted on the web and emailed out as well.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this long period of trying to get the Bank restored after filtering through literally thousands of pieces of paper. We have finally done that and are completing the last inputs to allow the approval of days to flow to the needy members.
