 I would like to thank all the supportive members who came out last night to march in solidarity for a fair and respectful contract.  As reported, we had over a couple of hundred of you for the First event to show the County we are firm in our commitment to get the best possible contract we can NEGOTIATE  - not take the County demands as negotiations!!   Pictures
 I would also like to thank those fellow Union Brothers and Sisters from CSEA ( Rockland Local 841, Lakeland SD and Yonkers SD as well as the Representatives of the AFL-CIO Central Labor Council: President Paul Ryan (IBEW Local 3) and  Secretary-Treasurer Karen Magee (Harrison Federation  of Teachers).

 We have other “events” on the horizon to have you ALL participate in one or another.  One of which is to contact your County Legislator and ask for their assistance in settling our contract.  Although they are not part of the negotiations, they have to ultimately approve its funding.
 Thank you all again for coming out last night and hopefully we can build on future turnouts or better yet , influence the County to come back to the table with more negotiations in mind  - rather than demands!!
