CONTRACT UPDATE May 20, 2008  We have met with the Mediator on Monday 5/19/08.  We have been assured that we will receive a Mediator’s report on a recommended settlement proposal by Tuesday, 5/27/08.  The Negotiation Team members have rescheduled the Wednesday, May 21, 2008 meeting to Wednesday, May 28, 2008 after we have received the Mediator’s recommendation for settlement for review and discuss our future moves which may include Fact-Finding.  If we cannot reach an agreement on a contract settlement on the 28th, we will be moving immediately to the next stage, Fact Finding. We will be asking for your assistance if we do need to go to the next stage.  Both sides are expressing a desire to settle during this phase to the Mediator. We ask for your continued support and cooperation through the next couple of weeks until we all see this through.  We will update you after Wednesday, May 28, 2008 as to the status of the review meeting.
