  Negotiations Update
 September 3, 2008

Today (September 3, 2008), we, and the County, met jointly with the Fact Finder.

We expressed our position on the length and terms of an agreement and he heard from the County as well.
 He listened to all we had to say and will formulate recommendations and promised to get back to us within a month with those recommendations for settlement.
 All of our proposals are still on the table but he focused on the major subjects of Salary, Health Insurance (all aspects), and Longevity and Sick Bank.
 We are at a waiting stage and ask for your continued support.

The Union has scheduled a 1,000 Days Without a Contract Rally @ Noon on September 16th, 2008 in front of MOB 1 and a March in White Plains @ 5:30PM in front of the Courthouse on the same day.   We must show the County how much we want a settlement that is fair and equitable and that, we need that settlement now!

 We will let you know more when we know more and cordially invite ALL MEMBERS to show up on the 16th!!! 
This is the way of getting YOURSELVES a contract that you have waited for, for almost 3 years (1,000 days!)!!
