The members of CSEA Unit 9200, the unionized employees of Westchester County government, endorse the concept of four day work weeks, also called flex time, or compressed time, as a means to give some relief to the ever-increasing cost of commuting long distances to their work locations in light of rising gasoline prices.  Our members find it extremely difficult to pay the cost of gasoline to commute to work from our homes in and out of Westchester County.
This policy is being adopted all over the United States
This petition calls for the mandatory implementation of the four day work week in ALL County departments.  If any County employee wishes to participate, that employee would be given the opportunity by requesting to start a four day work week.  The normal number of work hours would still be required each week but would be performed in 4 days.

The membership of Unit 9200 CSEA is working on presenting a petition to the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the Westchester County Executive requesting the implementation of a 4 day work week in all departments of Westchester County, including Westchester Community College.

The petition simply endorses the implementation of the policy in ALL departments; it does not obligate you at this time to participate.  The Petition is below; your signature endorses the ability of all County workers to participate in this program needed more than ever.

Sign the petition linked below, circulate it to all your coworkers and return it to the CSEA Unit 9200 office, 112 E Post Road, Room 428, White Plains, NY 10601-3311.
You can send it interoffice, or mail it. Send the original ink copies.  All signatures must be on the petition document.

If you have any questions or concerns, or wish to add anything to this effort,
please contact the CSEA Unit 9200 office @ 914-995-2151 or via the Contact Us page on our web.
