Negotiations Update  February 4, 2008 Today, February 4, 2008, we, and the County, met separately with the State provided Mediator. We expressed our position on the length and terms of an agreement and he heard from the County as well. He listened to all we had to say and will formulate recommendations and get back to us within 2-3 weeks for our next meeting. All of our proposals are still on the table but he focused on the major subjects of salary, health insurance (all aspects), longevity and Sick Bank. We are at an impasse and ask for your continued support.  The County’s last proposed salary increase was less than we negotiated for the last contract with insurance co-pay and deductible increases.
