NEGOTIATION
TEAM UPDATE
March 29, 2004
Last
week, (March 25, 2004), the Negotiation Team met with the mutually
agreed upon Fact Finder for the second time. We continued to
discuss the history, from both the Union’s and County’s perspective,
as to what has transpired over the last 2 ½ years of negotiations.
The Statewide CSEA Contract settlement became a focal point of the
discussion. It is not something we agreed to accept.
The Fact Finder has not scheduled a follow up meeting for further
discussions and exchange of facts, information and direction.
We have no other information to disclose at this time other than
the positive indication of continued meetings. We will post our
update after the next meeting with hopefully good news.
It is our hope and intention to move through this phase as quickly
as possible and will keep the membership aware of the progress for as
long as it takes to come to an acceptable resolution.
