Medco
Health Solutions, Inc. is the
Prescription Drug Benefit Administrator for Westchester County employees enrolled
in the POMCO health coverage.

All co-pay amounts are as follows:
Generic $0.00 (zero), Brand Name $20.00, Non-Preferred Brand Name
$40.00.
ALL Allergy Drugs: $50 co-pay; ALL PPI Drugs (for stomach acid): $50

The third fill of a prescription requires using Mail Order
from MEDCO and will cost
a double co-pay amount as appropriate per above.

Call Medco at 1(800) 818-6632 to determine
if your prescription medication is Generic, Brand Name,
Non-Preferred Brand Name, for Allergies, or is a PPI drug. Ask
you doctor to tell you about non-prescription OTC (over the counter) drugs for
Allergies and PPI conditions to save money.

required when you first register.

Month Mail Order on Third fill of a Prescription:
All CSEA members enrolled in the POMCO health plan, and requiring long
term medication, must use Medco mail order for
the third fill of a prescription. Get an order form from the
County Benefits Unit (914-995-4715), or click below, mail it to Medco with
a double co-pay amount, and receive a 3 month supply of medications via
mail delivery.

Questionnaire The
2 page questionnaire must be completed for each prescription user
covered by Medco when mailing the first mail order prescription.

When ordered by mail, members receive their first prescriptions at
home in 7 to 11 days and refills in 9 days or less. Refill
prescriptions ordered through the Internet or by phone are usually
delivered within 3 to 5 days. Standard shipping is free for members
and expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
With mail order, members avoid having to visit a local retail pharmacy
each month, and fewer
refills are required. In addition,
electronic refill reminders are available online or through e-mail to
assist members with easy ordering.
