Savings Using 3 Month Mail Order:  All CSEA members enrolled in the POMCO health plan, and requiring long term medication, may ask their doctor to write a 3 month prescription.  They may then get an order form from the County Benefits Unit (914-995-4715), mail it to Medco with only 1 co-pay amount, and receive a 3 month supply of medications via mail delivery. This is a pdf format file. If you need the free Adobe Acrobat reader for pdf files, scroll down to the yellow Get Acrobat Reader button at the bottom of the Home page. The 2 page order form  This is a pdf format file. If you need the free Adobe Acrobat reader for pdf files, scroll down to the yellow Get Acrobat Reader button at the bottom of the Home page. Medco Questionnaire The 2 page questionnaire must be completed for each prescription user covered by Medco when mailing the first mail order prescription.
Medco customer service is 1(800) 818-6632.

For each medication, using mail order, yearly savings are substantial:

$40 if Generic,  $80 if Formulary Brand Name,  $200 if Non-Formulary Brand Name

When ordered by mail, members receive their first prescriptions at home in 7 to 11 days and refills in 9 days or less. Refill prescriptions ordered through the Internet or by phone are usually delivered within 3 to 5 days. Standard shipping is free for members and expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
With mail order, members avoid having to visit a local retail pharmacy each month, since dispensing covers a three months' supply and fewer refills are required, meaning lower co-pay cost. In addition, electronic refill reminders are available online or through e-mail to assist members with easy ordering.
