$25.00.

if your prescription medication is Generic, Formulary Brand Name, or
Non-Formulary Brand Name. Also learn of participating retail pharmacies.

Savings
Using 3
Month Mail Order:
All CSEA members enrolled in the POMCO health plan, and requiring long
term medication, may ask their doctor to write a 3 month
prescription. They may then get an order form from the
County Benefits Unit (914-995-4715), mail it to Medco with only
1 co-pay amount, and receive a 3 month supply of medications via
mail delivery.
The 2 page order form
Medco
Questionnaire The
2 page questionnaire must be completed for each prescription user
covered by Medco when mailing the first mail order prescription.
Medco customer service
is 1(800) 818-6632.
For each medication, using mail
order, yearly savings are
substantial:
$40 if Generic, $80
if Formulary Brand Name, $200 if Non-Formulary Brand Name
When ordered by mail, members receive their first prescriptions at
home in 7 to 11 days and refills in 9 days or less. Refill
prescriptions ordered through the Internet or by phone are usually
delivered within 3 to 5 days. Standard shipping is free for members
and expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.
With mail order, members avoid having to visit a local retail pharmacy
each month, since dispensing covers a three months' supply and fewer
refills are required, meaning lower co-pay cost. In addition,
electronic refill reminders are available online or through e-mail to
assist members with easy ordering.
