Sick Bank Program revised 2/3/10     

The Sick Bank is a CSEA contract benefit available for many years to CSEA union members.
The CSEA Sick Bank Committee also administers the program for non-CSEA County employees.

 The Benefit: By joining the Sick Bank, you continue to receive a paycheck in the event of an extended illness that depletes all your Sick Time, Annual Leave, and Personal Leave hours. 

The Sick Bank Program was restored with the new CSEA contract effective Nov 2008 and CURRENT members who wish to stay in the program MUST donate per the schedule below.  

NEW MEMBER ENROLLMENT: Anyone who has been a Westchester County employee for 13 months may join during February 2010 by donating 2 days from Sick or Personal Leave using the New Member Enrollment Form that is only available from your department timekeeper.  Call your dept to get one. 
Complete it, sign it, and give it to your timekeeper.  
Deadline is Feb. 24, 2010 for New Members to give the form to their dept timekeepers.

Sick Bank Contribution Deadlines for Existing Members Each current member is required to contribute a total of 5 days of Sick or Personal Leave by May 15, 2009. 
Reminder: Per our contract, CSEA employees receive 1 Sick Leave day each month.  
January 18, 2008: 2 Days must have been donated.
June 1, 2008: 1 day must be donated
Sept. 1, 2008: 1 day must be donated
May 15, 2009: 1 day must be donated
EXISTING MEMBERS: Every year commencing in Feb. 1, 2010: 1 more day must be donated on an annual basis.

 Please confirm that you are enrolled in the Sick Bank by checking the roster.  The roster only shows the members who have donated the 5 days as of the May 15, 2009 requirement. As above, 1 day must be donated for 2010.
