The
Sick Bank
is a CSEA contract benefit available for
many years to CSEA union members. The CSEA Sick Bank Committee
also administers the program for non-CSEA County
employees.
The Benefit:
By joining the Sick Bank, you continue on payroll in the event of an extended illness that depletes all your Sick Time, Annual Leave, and Personal Leave hours.
NEW MEMBER
ENROLLMENT: Anyone who
has been a Westchester County employee for 13 months may join
during February by donating 2 days from Sick or Personal
Leave using the Application and Donation form linked below.
Complete it, sign it, and give it to your timekeeper in your
department.
Deadline is Feb. 29, 2012 for New Members to give the form to
their dept timekeepers.
Existing Sick
Bank members will not need to donate another day for
2012.

History:
The Sick Bank Program was restored with the CSEA contract
effective Nov 2008 per decision of Martin Schienman, NYS PERB Fact
Finder. The members at that time who wished to stay in the program
were required to donate per this schedule:
Each member was required to contribute a total of 5 days of
Sick Leave by May 15, 2009.
January 18, 2008: 2 Days must have
been donated.
June 1, 2008: 1 day must be donated
Sept. 1, 2008: 1 day must be donated
May 15, 2009: 1 day must be donated
EXISTING MEMBERS:
Commencing Feb. 1, 2010: 1 day must be donated
each year.
